An honest note about
Privacy
heycirql is a personal place. The whole idea falls apart if you can't trust it with the people you care about. Here's exactly how your data is handled.
What's collected
When you sign in with your Google account, heycirql receives your name, email address, and Google profile picture URL — that's the full list of what Google shares. Nothing more.
Everything else in heycirql is what you choose to put in: people, places, conversations, notes, tags, photos. heycirql doesn't read your contacts, your calendar, your email, your location, or anything else about you.
Where it lives
Your data is held in a database hosted in Europe. Only you can see the data you've entered.
Who sees it
Nobody but you. heycirql is a personal tool. There's no "share with friends" feature, no advertising, no third-party data sales, no aggregation, no training of machine-learning models on your notes. The people you enter into heycirql have no way to know they're in it.
Your control
You can delete anything at any time from inside the app — people, notes, photos, entire conversations. When you delete something, it's gone from the database.
If you want to delete everything at once, open your profile page inside the app and use the Delete my account and all data button in the Danger zone. It shows you exactly what you're about to erase, asks you to type a confirmation phrase, and then wipes everything you've ever entered along with any photos you uploaded. It's instant and irreversible.
